I dined here with a friend and, being from the Low country, was excited about the menu. The Sunday brunch was awesome. There was a variety of selections and the food did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to coming for dinner the next time I’m in town.

I would not do the brunch thing again. The 4 courses, was just okay. Our server forgot to bring the bread and my drink was empty for a while before I had to flag her down and ask for a refill. The app and main course were good. The omelette was over cooked but the one guy was doing like 5 at once. I paid $80 total with food plus tip and it definitely wasn’t worth that. Sad bc I really had high hopes for this place.:(

Started out rough when we were left standing for almost 20 minutes and we had a reservation. Communication was pretty poor among the staff. When we were finally seated, we sat unattended for a while. Our server stopped twice to tell us he’d be back. He was nice but the service was very slow. Some of the food came out incorrect. They were out of several items on the bourbon list. The food was just okay, not worth the bill we paid for it. Which is my next complaint… 22% tip is automatically added to every bill. Doesn’t give the server much motivation to work if they are guaranteed 22% before they ever approach the table.

Waiter let us sit there for too long before providing service. One of the diners had a long curly hair in her food and he brushed it off too casually. He even stated there no women in the kitchen? We were bewildered! The manager never came over to apologize. Another diner had cold food. My food was fine but the overall experience was horrible.

The food was very good and the service was outstanding. My husband left his hat and one of the servers chased us down around the corner to return it. Overall a fabulous experience. Highly recommend.

We had searched for a restaurant in DC to celebrate a special occasion. Georgia Brown's had good reviews and an interesting menu. However, it did not live up to our expectations. Our wait person came by after taking our order and said, “Oh, you didn’t get bread?” – and then took 10 minutes to bring it. Throughout, she was invisible, and we had to wave her down for every step – ordering drinks, water, the check, and so on. I ordered the gumbo, which was tasty. Having been to New Orleans, I was expecting it to be be a bit more exciting, but I'll leave it at 'good.' My wife ordered the pork chop and specifically asked for it to be medium. Instead, it was served very-well done, tough and dry. Very disappointing. And the promised “birthday dessert” was never offered. The 22% mandatory "tip" (it's not a tip if it's mandatory - it's a fee) was absolutely undeserved. Our meal (2 entrees, one glass of wine, and one beer) came to over $110. Additionally, the restaurant was VERY LOUD. I was generous with my star ratings – I would not recommend this overpriced restaurant to anyone.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. My only issue is the automatic 22 percent tip. I dined alone. I understand an automatic gratuity for parties over 6. Usually that is in the range of 18 or 20 percent. I wonder who, or what ,they are trying to discourage from dining at this restaurant.
