    GD is not only one of San Francisco's best restaurants, it is one of the best values in the Bay area. You have the option of choosing a 3, 4 or 5 course meal for $122+, &150+ or $170+. And the portions are generous! The variety of appetizers, meat and seafood options is impressive. It's hard to select a favorite but you must try the risotto with lobster, the salmon and the duck breast... and finish the meal with souffle! Thank you, Gary Danko.

    My dinner at Gary Danko was impeccably prepared, with outstanding service and a serene atmosphere. Elegantly decorated with inmate setting to dine. It was a truly lovely evening to celebrating my BFF birthday. THANK YOU, GARY DANKO. :-)

    We had the most fabulous dinner. Best service ever. From the hostess greeting us and taking our coats cocktails were served immediately. Server was incredible and helped us with our choices. Somalia was very knowledgeable. Helped us select different wines that went with each course. We could not be happier with this place. It was our anniversary and brought us exquisite desserts. We had the chocolate soufflé which was amazing and the selection of cheeses was extensive. Some of the best cheeses ever we cannot say enough about this place.

    Dinner for two. The excellent service starts at the door with the friendly hosts. About 4-5 persons placed our plates down throughout the night and each of them were so particular, they ensured that the silverware was changed between each course and our glasses were always full. They were open to questions, made suggestions and very patient. We chose our own five courses ($173 each) and everything was good. However, the best items of the night were the glazed oysters, the lobster with mashed potatoes, the seafood risotto, the scallops with Japanese sweet potato and French toast. Those were amazing and if I go back that’s what I’d order again! Other items that we had were the tuna tartare, quail, filet mignon, duck and crème brûlée. They also brought out a happy birthday cake for me at the end. Amazing restaurant, amazing service. One of the top 5 that I’ve been to in terms of food and service.

    While the food is still excellent the service has really slipped from the pre-Covid days. It’s just not quite like it used to be.
