Best Restaurants with a Wood Oven in Oakland

Marzano's is a trusted family restaurant where you can enjoy good food and conversation. We love being welcomed by Mana, the friendly restaurant owner, and staff, every time we visit. We feel like family!

I have eaten many meals at Zuni over decades and the quality has been amazingly consistent over that time. It’s often just what I want to eat. I had a baguette steak that reminded me of France in the 1970s. The prices have definitely increased. It’s not out of line with similar places, but it used to seem cheaper than other places of equivalent quality. No longer. It’s every bit as expensive as other fine dining places if more relaxed than some.

The food was very good. If you are looking for pizza, there are lots of choices. Not so many non-pizza ones. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drink options. It was noisy but not so noisy that we couldn't have a good conversation. Our only complaint was that our table was in front of the door so every time someone came in, we got hit with cold air.

Food was delicious We had pizza ,lovely salads and friendly service. Ambiance is cafe like so very casual. I had the clams and soaked up the delicious sauce with bread. 😋

Pizzaiolo is our favorite place in Oakland! Always great food, music, and atmosphere!
