Love and Salt is a story that begins with Cafe Pierre, a restaurant birthed by Guy Gabriele in 1977 to bring a taste of France to Los Angeles’ South Bay. While Cafe Pierre was a beloved part of the community for nearly 37 years, in 2014, Guy and his daughter Sylvie Gabriele, now the owner of Love and Salt, closed the restaurant to bring new life to the iconic space.Love and Salt is a philosophy: that food needs only two ingredients to be great.     Very nice venue- lots of good energy. Had the extremely tasty and moderately spicy Thai Fish and Shellfish entree.. friends split the whole fish, which was also delicious and presented nicely.. mashed potatoes were a solid B, but the Brussels sprouts were great.. service was energetic and a good sense of humor..

    My favorite place in the world.. I take all my friends and visitors there. The excellence in quality, exciting combination of flavors, ambience and the warm welcoming and well trained crew makes it always a very special experience. No matter if I’m just hopping in by myself for a late dinner after work , or with friends for a lovely chilled culinary get together…;)

    Wally’s is EPIC. Dining in a world class wine store adds incredible theater to your experience. The food, bread, cheese, and menu mix is inspired. A must stop when in LA. The truffle fries and exceptional. Try Wally’s HERO.
