Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in Northwest Philly

As always, Chef Rucker knows how to bring it! The food, service, ambience, music and vibe were all on point. The swordfish belly app, lobster toast, hash browns, crab claws, blue fun tuna, cabbage, scallops, swordfish Milanese, sea bass, ham and squid ink biscuits and chicken were unreal. This is our third visit, and the consistency and quality were outstanding. We’ve probably had every menu item and have been enjoying the changing drinks menu as well. The matcha cocktail is a favorite, can drink it like water! The new mezcal Negroni was delish!!! You have to get the desserts. I crave them constantly now. The granola cremeaux is in my dreams.

Service was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our starters (burrata and tartare) and main courses (trout special and salmon). Atmosphere was lively yet sophisticated with families, birthday parties, work get togethers, and couples. We had a fantastic dining experience, and will be back.

I requested my steak done medium well. The first came out rare, the second came out medium rare. I absolutely hate sending food back and I’m never that person, but I just can’t do bloody meat. It’s the one thing I need well. My last and final steak finally came out well. The steak should’ve been entirely covered by the restaurant, but it wasn’t. Our drinks were comped, but the steak was definitely more than a couple cocktails. The food was good, it was just a disappointing first time experience.

Enjoyed the food, the waitress was knowledgeable and patient, did not take long to receive our meals. All in all great experience!
