Best Live Music Restaurants in Western Addition

Holiday tea is always a family favorite! The tea sandwiches and desserts were not great this year! All of them were dry and flavorless! Tea was good! Service great!

Although it was Thanksgiving we decided to order from the menu, and we have no regrets! Our wonderful waitress recommended I have the lamb chops (stating they were the best thing on the menu)…and they were superb! My husband had the surf and turf, but honestly we would order just the steak next time! We started our meal with the prawn cocktail (fabulous) and the lobster ravioli (too salty for our taste). The ambiance was great, however there was a noticeable delay between our starters and entrees coming out. We ordered oysters - which were fresh, baked cheese and warmed olives, and the focaccia was deliciously herby. Swordfish, duck, and two steak frites were ordered as mains, all arrived together however the fries were dry and cold (as compared to the steak on the same plate). Overall the food and drinks were delicious.

As usual, “ checked all of the boxes” Bix is the consummate special evening dinner out - up scale atmosphere and ambience, classic bar, epicurean delight,attentive service, live, cultural music … a great experience.

Though I appreciated the thematic ambience, it was just a little too dark. I had to use my flashlight to read the menu and couldn’t see my food as well as I would have liked. The food was very good, some outstanding even. Especially the birriadillas. The service was a bit amateurish considering the prices. The server and busser had to be stopped on no less than 4 occasions from taking away our drinks/plates that we weren’t finished with yet. Once was forgivable. Four times was downright annoying. Not sure if I’m done yet? Ask!
