- RRobertGreater Boston •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMy husband and I had thanksgiving dinner here. Instead of the traditional dinner we had the bacon appetizer, New York sirloin and I got a filet and lobster tail, which was custom done for me and I never do that and it was all delicious! We had a great waitress Lynne, who was wonderful and attentive. We left full and happy and will be back soon!More infoTeresa's PrimePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• North Reading•4.6

He provided us with detailed explanations of our selections and guided us through our order. Steak was top shelf, and both the Scallop dish and Crab Cakes were outstanding. Why drive to Boston when we have so many great steakhouses on the North Shore!More infoPost 1917 SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Reading•4.7

- MMicahelSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 2, 2024The food and the Charles was great. Two got the beef ribs and they were a very healthy portion and very tasty, as was the gravy on the mashed potatoes. Two got the scampi, it was very flavorful. The sliced zucchini with the pasta was a nice accompaniment. The side of bread was warmed/toasted and was the perfect combination of crunchy & chewy yet just soft enough. Service was good and attentive, but the server could have know more about the menu. The sound level was high and there was a sort of music bingo going on which while perhaps a local tradition seemed a little out of place in a finer restaurant on a weekend night. Cost was an excellent value for the quality of the food.More infoThe CharlesPrice: Expensive• American• Reading•4.3

The food was very good and the menu, although not large, allows for consistent quality of the meals. The redecoration was tasteful and the noise level was lowMore infoTavern on 28Price: Moderate• American• Andover•4.4
