Best Restaurants with Great Beer in Old Fourth Ward

We enjoyed our Valentine’s dinner so much! Our server was Anna, and she was very attentive and provided excellent service! There was a specials menu in addition to the regular menu. We appreciated having options rather than a fixed menu as so many restaurants do for Valentine’s Day. We had the Maine oysters with spinach and Parmesan as our starter, and they were delicious! We both had the wood grilled Alaskan halibut topped with crispy shrimp and served with whipped potatoes and asparagus as our main course, and it was perfection! We ate every bite! Our dishes were all from the specials menu. We’ve eaten at Bold Monk a few times and have enjoyed everything we’ve had from the regular menu as well. Of course, the drinks are incredible too! This a a great restaurant! Give it a try!

We loved every single dish we tried (pork belly bao buns, curry fries, the steak tataki, the sunset and let’s roll out sushi rolls)! Also, the service was incredible. We left super happy we spent our Valentine’s Day dinner there.

So, I had a unintentional extended delay for a flight, so I spent Valentine’s Day by myself in a hotel, decided to go out for dinner at Thrive, sat at the bar, was greeted by the lovely staff, who actually spoke to you, not treating it like an assembly line. My bartender walked me through the menu, giving personal recommendation's for food and drinks. I had an Amazing 5 Course Pre-Fixed Valentine’s Meal. The General Manager came by, greeted me, and I had an amazing conversation with her, I was not in a good mood, and she completely changed that, actually listening to me, treating me as a person, rather than just a customer, which is what every restaurant should be like. My food was absolutely delicious, loved every bit, and the manager made sure that I was serviced the same as any Valentine’s Couple, I did not feel like a stick out at all. The drinks were amazing as well, the bartender recommended a Vodka and Lychee drink, which was amazing, and the perfect ratio (in my opinion) of alcohol to mix. If I lived in Atlanta, I would be here nightly, they have such a variety in their menu. I can promise them I will definitely be returning, I felt like a friend to everyone inside rather than the guy who was eating by himself on Valentine’s Day. When I was leaving, my bill was $110, I did drink a couple drinks and had a Pre-Fix, so I was completely okay with this and felt it had adequate value. This is a great spot for dinner or just a drink, I absolutely loved it, cannot say it enough! The bartenders and GM wished me well and safe travels the next day as I reach my actual destination! 10000/10 Will be back!

We celebrated our anniversary weekend with a Friday night dinner at Max Lagers. Our server, Kris, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu experience, and helped the night to be enjoyable. We had the fried okra for starters, the cowboy ribeye for our main course, finished with a delicious helping of bread pudding. The best fire grilled steaks!!! Everything was great. We found a true gem in downtown Atlanta that we will be sure to come again!
