Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Heights / Washington

Our server was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Our server was very respectful of our lunch as it had been a long time since I saw my friend. Our server answered all our questions and provided a fantastic recommendation for my gluten free dinner. It is extremely rare to find a restaurant with a dedicated gluten free fryer and they have one here! I will be back as many times as I can to work my way through the menu. I can’t believe how comfortable the space was; not to mention it is across from the Menil Collection. Truly a peaceful setting for some truly delicious gluten free food right in Houston - something that is hard to do in Houston.

I had two native Indians as guests, and they assured me that the food we were served was the "real deal". I personally couldn't vouch for its authenticity but the taste and presentation were impressive for any palate. It's very likely just the result of my eating out being less frequent than when I was younger, but the prices seemed out of line high in my estimation. The perceived value deficit will influence my selection among your worthy competitors.

Really loved the different approach to Houston Fine Food. We’re not fans of all the rich sauces that Houston tends to thrive on and smother the key ingredients with - TMC focuses more on accentuating the core flavors, which we really liked, a lot!

Absolutely lovely. A good friend and I love to have tea together and saw this on an Instagram post. The sandwiches were delicious, scones were yummy, dessert was great. But honestly it’s the TEA I can’t stop thinking about. The Cream Earl Grey was so fantastic I asked if they sold it. We learned they have a special tea consultant (that’s not the term but I can’t recall.) We also received a glass of champagne on arrival and each of us tried a cocktail which were both unique and delicious. Service was warm and friendly. Will return!

We have enjoyed the ambience. We had an outstanding pasta off the menu, which reminded me of the time spent in italy in portofino. Chef introduced himself and made a special dish for us . Loved the food. We will be back
