Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Solana Beach

Great service from the entire team. Server Scott was great and everyone pitched in to serve us. Great teamwork. Food was delicious.

Our dinner was delicious last night! The salmon dish was Made gluten free for two of us, and was outstanding! Eating on the patio was warm and inviting, despite cooler temperatures. In addition, our waiter Coup was very attentive and friendly. Just the right place to be during the holidays.

There were two of us at Jake’s last night for dinner. We started with a couple of appetizers and each of us had a margarita. Well, the appetizers were so fantastic that we just stuck with a variety of appetizers (6 total) all eve. I highly recommend the crab cake and mussels appetizers!! It doesn’t get better than these. Also, I want to mention that our our server was AMAZING. We are both gluten-free and he was so attentive to that requirement that he graciously went to the kitchen several times to ensure that all was GF. He even suggested ways to alter a dish to make it GF and then instructed the kitchen in ways to accommodate our needs. A very enjoyable evening!

Best OVERALL Restaurant on the coast. Nice enough to celebrate special occasions and casual enough to pop in for lunch and have a cocktail. LOVE THE SERVICE…because it’s rare to find good service. FOOD is excellent…can find something on the menu for everyone. (My favorites are the Seafood Pasta and the Seared Ahi!) Great appetizers and GREAT DRINKS!

Amazing food, first of all. The service was good, the staff was very attentive to all patrons and it wasn't one individual person, the entire staff is there to help. The menu is a great assortment of various breakfast items with many of them being signature dishes. My table ordered the Chicken Marsala, the Reuben sandwich, Loaded Fries, Short Rib Hash and a single pancake. The Chicken Marsala was juicy and the marsala sauce and mushrooms were just so tasty and perfect and it was paired with some DELICIOUS potatoes and asparagus. If you are a Chicken Marsala fan, I would highly recommend this!! The Reuben sandwich was just delicious. The amount of Corned Beef in the sandwich was enormous and the servings size is HUGE, paired with some of the best crispy fries I've had, next to of course their LOADED Fries! The same crispy fries but now just with their white cheddar sauce and chunks of bacon, that was the HIT at our table!! Lastly was the Short Rib Hash, the potatoes again were amazing and the tender juicy chunks of Beef Short Rib were just everywhere in that bowl, and all topped off with a fried egg!! This place is great, the vibe is calming and not loud, perfect breakfast spot to just meet up, enjoy a meal and have a great conversation without having to battle all the other conversations that other restaurants deal with. This is just a great place!!
