As an example of the attention to detail, the waiter even replaced my wife’s white napkin with a black napkin (we didn’t ask for this) so that she would not get white lint on her dark pants!More info22 Bowens Wine Bar and GrillePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Newport•4.8
- EEmilyGreater Boston •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoOur party was greeted at the door and promptly seated. Definitely need a reservation here. The layout had a number of floors with small dining rooms on each. The ambiance was cozy - roaring fires, natural holiday decorations, soft lighting. The noise level was moderate - conversations happened easily at normal talking volume. The wine list was extensive, while the beer offerings were lackluster. The menu focuses on New England cuisine with many heavy, warming dishes. We visited during December, so it’s possible they have a different seasonal menu for the warmer months. Our server was attentive, but not annoying.More infoWhite Horse TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Newport•4.8
- BBrianGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe arrived late but it was not a concern for the Mooring staff. One suggestion, on the reservation add a telephone number that you can call to tell them you are running late. The number given does not connect to a real person, and is only informative. Food was great as usual. Please do not sell out to Nicholas S.More infoThe Mooring RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Newport•4.7
- JJulieNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGreat place to eat in Newport. Tuna Tartare tacos were outstanding and NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Cherrystones were fresh and the scallops we good but a little salty. Have visited the bar on the second floor which is nice and cozy and great for alcohol infused coffees but is hard to catch open. Definitely on my list of favorite Newport restaurants.More infoMidtown Oyster BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Newport•4.4
