Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Camarillo

I recently visited Lawrey's and was thoroughly impressed by the experience, especially during the holiday season. The atmosphere was wonderfully festive, with beautiful decorations that truly captured the spirit of the holidays. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The seasonal menu offered delicious and unique dishes that added to the holiday cheer. Lawrey's provided a cozy and joyous setting for celebrating the season, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a memorable holiday meal. Magnificent service. Some of the best. The Yule log—sublime! The pigs in a blanket—imagine what that might be like with a master pastry chef! Shrimp cocktail—how often is it merely passable? Here it is of a uniformly exquisite tenderness. I want to say again, the SERVICE. This place is an industry standard but is generally underrated. Visit it again.

We went for the Christmas Eve special buffet. It was their first specialty dining experience we’ve been to. The staff there is always attentive and friendly, it can get a little loud since it’s a smaller space, but there was a saxophonist playing which drowned out much of the other’s conversation. The food selection was great, but the desserts assortment was lacking, in my opinion. Overall, great experience and I’ll do it again!

We had booked a reservation for Christmas Eve a month in advance, but when we arrived we were not seated for 30 minutes past our reservation time. Nevertheless, once we were seated the service was prompt and friendly, and all of the food was delicious. The various vegetable sides were terrific, including the broccolini, the kombucha squash, and the carrots.

First time. Friendly people and great atmosphere! Will definitely be going back for more!
