Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Bel-Air

The food, service was amazing. We were a group of 5 and everyone loved what they got. My only suggestion would be to replace the metal chairs for the table with ones that sit straight up vs. a lounge type chair where they lean back away from the table. It makes it difficult to comfortably eat.

Dining Experience: I visited Lawry's The Prime Rib with my parents on the evening of the 28th at 4 PM. This review reflects my personal impressions of the meal and service. Reservation Deposit ($25 per person): A $25 deposit per person is required when making a reservation, but it’s applied directly to the final bill, which feels fair and ensures a secure booking. Salad Service ($0): The salad service was complimentary, but it came with a unique presentation, much like a small performance. It reminded me of the noodle-pulling show at Hai Di Lao, adding a touch of fun to the meal. Lobster Bisque ($15): The lobster bisque was elegantly presented. The soup was poured from a small pot into a bowl that already held fresh lobster meat. The flavor was rich, and dipping the pre-dinner bread into it was a delightful touch. Lawry Cut Classic Medium-Rare ($66): The 10-ounce classic Lawry cut steak, cooked medium-rare, was incredibly tender and juicy. The portion size was generous, making it perfect for sharing among three people. The mashed potatoes served on the side had a traditional and comforting taste. Lobster Trio ($65): The three lobster tails were exceptionally fresh, with tender and firm meat. A squeeze of lemon enhanced the flavor beautifully. The server highly recommended pairing it with melted butter, and it truly elevated the dish. Creamed Spinach ($9): The creamed spinach was average in taste. It’s worth trying, but it didn’t stand out. Creamed Corn ($9): This dish was sweet, flavorful, and satisfying. Every bite was rich and indulgent—definitely a must-try! English Trifle ($12): The English trifle left a strong first impression with its vibrant flavors, though it leaned on the sweeter side, which might be a bit overwhelming for those who prefer less sugary desserts. Magnificent service. Some of the best. The Yule log—sublime! The pigs in a blanket—imagine what that might be like with a master pastry chef! Shrimp cocktail—how often is it merely passable? Here it is of a uniformly exquisite tenderness. I want to say again, the SERVICE. This place is an industry standard but is generally underrated. Visit it again.

Each time I step into Catch LA, I feel like royalty. The ambiance is sexy, but it is the service that truly steals the show each time! Every member of the staff exudes professionalism and genuine warmth. They anticipate our needs before we even realize them, making every experience at my favorite LA restaurant impeccable - so much so that we've made coming to Xmas Eve dinner at Catch LA an annual tradition with my chosen family! I have no notes on the effortless quality of food, beverages, and, most importantly, THE SERVICE and THAT is why Catch LA is a step above the rest!
