Behind an unmarked door adjacent to the wine room, guests are transported to District 1 (China Town) in Saigon via Blackhouse’s 28-seat restaurant-within-a-restaurant, LSXO. A spinoff of the Little Sister brand (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach & Downtown Los Angeles), LSXO is love letter to the culture, heritage, and lineage of Vietnam (Vuong’s relatives hail from the region). While Little Sister is known for its French Vietnamese menu, LSXO follows the same Southeast Asian inspiration with a more refined feel. “There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. While Bluegold is light, bright, and airy, LSXO is its darker, edgier little sister,” says Vuong. “Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen, though the menus are completely different.     Met family for lunch here as my aunt and uncle are regulars here at Dukes and Huntington Beach. Beautiful beach vibe. Love the location, the staff and the atmosphere. We had a calamari appetizer, which was very good. Also ordered fish tacos. Very good just a little messy to eat. Enjoyed our visit.

    It was our first time at LSXO and we had a great time. Small speakeasy with about 6 tables. Our waitress Jasmine was wonderful and gave us excellent recommendations. The Shaky Shaky Beef was our favorite, very tender and the sauce was delicious. Definitely worth the wait to get a reservation. We will be back!

    This was our first time to Nobu, and my husband and I were blown away. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed a decadent array of dishes chosen by our server and chef; signature Nobu dishes and items we would never have ordered on our own. Everything was a delight! Celebrating my birthday was a special treat at Nobu!
