Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Argenton

Box on the Water remains unbeatable for value-& that view! The pate, fish & chips-& salad- are our ‘go to’ lunch-easily shareable, served with a smile, & enjoyed in front of a world class view. Our only (slight) regrets-it’s not open-at least once or twice a week-for breakfast-and the menu doesn’t offer a tender steak frites option ( the bavatte’s a bit chewy for us). But it still makes us once a week regulars.

Wonderful atmosphere and the staff are lovely. My entree, vegetarian dumplings was late, but worth the wait. My main meal was forgotten, and the manager intervened. It was sorted out and I was happy. The food and choices of wine, I must say, was fabulous! We will go back again in the New Year.

Absolutely loved it from the time we walked in & greeted by James. Food was the best. My husband’s words “Never had lamb so good 🤤”. It sure was We have already booked to go back with friends visiting from Melbourne. Thanks James and Gabriel!!

Great relaxed ambience. Gets busy at this time of year and thus noisy even sitting outside. Bruschetta was disappointing and burger and health bowl were fine but nothing to write home about. With this location, a bit more pizzazz with the menu could make it a first choice.
