Went for a Christmas meal with my daughter and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the ox cheek sublime. Can’t wait to go again next time in York.More infoThe Star Inn The CityPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• York•4.5
- BBarryYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI had a delightful afternoon tea at Betty's Tea Room that exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was charming, with elegant decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The selection of teas was superb, perfectly complemented by freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and homemade jam. The assortment of finger sandwiches was fresh and flavorful, while the pastries, particularly the chocolate macrons and were exquisite. The attentive staff provided impeccable service, making us feel truly special. Overall, Betty's Tea Room offers a magical experience that combines tradition with culinary excellence—an absolute must-visit for tea lovers!More infoBettys Café Tea Rooms - YorkPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• York•4.7
- CChristopherYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoA "Gastronomic Epiphany " . From the warm welcome on arrival, the friendly and attentive staff to the cosy and historic surroundings, it was the perfect setting to what was probably going to be one of my most memorable dining experiences. We both ordered the fabled "steak n ale" pie with a side of cauliflower cheese. We deliberately abstained from a starter so that we would be able to fully appreciate the main. We were not disappointed ! The pie, gravy, garlic mash and side were sublime. We will be back.More infoGuy Fawkes InnPrice: Expensive• British• York•4.4
