- RrogerLos Angeles •9 reviews5.0Dined todayVery packed for the day after New Year's...couple of large parties, which caused a delay in us getting our food. The waiter was very nice...the food was excellent (as always). I ordered Veal Picatta ... I'm not usually a veal-type person as it tends to be very over-cooked and dry -- but mine was was just terrific (they really know how to cook veal).More infoRao's HollywoodPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Hollywood•4.9

- ACAlexCSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe Fromosa exceeded every expectation. I thought it would be a tourist trap with mid food, instead the food was top tier, skillfully done, with flavors nicely straddling traditional Chinese American and more authentic Szechuan. I expected the drinks to be overpriced and middle shelf at best, and instead the Mai Tai was the freshest pineapple based cocktail I've ever hat a restaurant, and the Matador was a sharper, more tequla forward option that was just as impressive. I expected the service to be impatient, wanting to turn tables or upsell, and instead it was attentive, careful, and completely supportive. The atmosphere I expected to be tired and overhyped, instead it was a spectacle of historic fabric so well cared-for, lovingly maintained, and immaculate that it may very well be the best vintage restaurant and bar experience on the West Coast. If you love restaurant history,.if you love an atmospheric bar, if you love good food, if you want to step back into the 1940s but minus the cigarette smoke and the canned meal, then this is someplace you will enjoy.More infoFormosa CafePrice: Expensive• Asian• West Hollywood•4.6
