Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Homemade house guacamole, or one of the many soup or salad options, make for a great starter. The entree options are plentiful. To dine at Musso & Frank’s Grill is to have an experience like no other in LA: old world style, dishes that have long since disappeared from the menus of any other of its competitors and the pleasure of knowing that one is dining in a space that has probably catered for virtually every great name ever to have graced Hollywood in the course of the past century. Look beyond the cheap and tawdry pseudo glamour of the rest of the Hollywood strip and allow yourself the pleasure of an authentic experience you will never forget, long after the memory of all the dross of the surrounding razzmatazz has faded into oblivion. Worth every penny twice over.

Lovely night. Service was fabulous. Food was terrific. Lots of complex tastes and prep. They never make things "normally." Special. If you want a quiet experience, make sure to ask for the back dining room. Upstairs would probably be quiet too. Louder and livelier in the front room.
