- CCherieVIPSeattle / Eastern Washington •8 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 20, 2025Locus Wines is a true little diamond in the rough of Pioneer Square. Set on the bricks of histoiric Occidental Square, it is a perfect spot for a glass (or two) of amazing wine and lite bites after work, before a game, or while you are visiting the newly revitalized area. The food was delicious and beautifully presented - salumi meats, fresh from France cheeses (from a local cheese monger), and a mezze platter with housemade dips. We also had some of the savory filo pastries with lamb - outstanding And then to the wine - Locus should be on every oenophiles list. Time only allowed for a couple of bottles for our group but Locus Red blend was a perfect full bodied accompaniment to the bites. And not only do they have a very popular wine club, but the retail store where the wine bar is located is also well stocked with a marvelous selection of wines (that will entice you to try them all! ) The venue's location is great - and there is also perfect little place for a small group - they have a wonderful private room in the back that worked out beautifully. I understand they also often have live music and other events in the space And lastly, the service! Keenaan, the Tasting Room Manager, took amazing care of our group and the others in the venue like we were guests in his home - warm greetings, pouring wine, making all the food, and managing the place all with a smile makes this a not to miss stop in Pioneer Square! It's nice to see Pioneer Square coming back to life after the difficult patch these last few years - I can't wait for patio season when we can raise a glass of magnificent wine and toast the beauty of Seattle summers again!
