- SStephanieVIPPhiladelphia County •10 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIt was our first Christmas Eve in town, and we wanted a quaint and local place with amazing food. We haven't been to Back Burner in some a couple years, but in my search, I noticed they were open for C.Eve. I made us reservations right away. It was the perfect place for our Christmas Eve dinner. The menu was a special holiday selection, so it was simple, but still had a nice variety of options to satisfy any taste we had (from steak to seafood to pasta). The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Not only will we return, but we would spend our holiday here again if the opportunity arose. Thank you for taking such great care of us!More infoBack Burner RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Hockessin•4.5

As always, everything was absolutely outstanding: the focaccia with the honey butter is so addicting, I feel like I can't not order it now--same for the duck leg confit. I wasn't going to get it this time, and then someone else in our party was ordering it, and I knew I would wish I had ordered it when it arrived at the table for him! The pappardelle was incredible; all of us ordered it! And then we got the maple ice cream and the passion fruit sorbet for dessert, and both were excellent. Terrific cocktails as always, and the best service! The most wonderful place to have a meal that somehow manages to feel both informal and homey and special and chic at the same time (and love the holiday decor)! The best start to vacation!More infoLa FiaPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Wilmington•4.9
- WWilfredVIPPhiladelphia County •82 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 17, 2024Pre-theater dinner. We were quickly seated and our server arrived promptly and cheerfully. Two of us had familiar favorites which did not disappoint, two had new to us combinations involving scallops and shrimp. Both were richly flavored and enjoyable.More infoBanks' Seafood Kitchen & Raw BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Wilmington•4.6
- LLizPhiladelphia County •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 12, 2024This was our first time at Letty’s Tavern. We had been to Longwood Gardens, in the pouring rain. We showed up to Letty’s early, the gal at the reception desk was so accommodating, got us a table. The server was excellent, I could not decide what wine I wanted; he graciously brought me two tastes, so I could decide. We had the cheese tray; it was delicious. My husband had the short rib; it melted in his mouth. I had the fish and chips. The fish was delicious and was just enough, sometimes places give you this ridiculously large piece that you can’t finish; the fries were double fried; excellent. We finished this meal by sharing a piece of tiramisu. Probably one of the best pieces of tiramisu I have tasted. A wonderful end to a very wet day! Will be making a trek back to Kennet Square just to go to Letty’s !More infoLetty's TavernPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Kennett Square•4.5
