Best Historic Restaurants in Franconia

It was a bit hard to find the entrance to this place (we had never been there and there were multiple buildings set close together), but when we got there the staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious. We had a Boursin/goat cheese plate for an appetizer, and salmon for dinner - everything came out perfect! The drinks were great, the coffee was exceptional, and for Valentine’s Day we were given complementary chocolate covered strawberries. Denise is a wonderful server. We will be back!

This was our second time here as the first time was a few years ago for our annual Christmas dinner. It definately did not dissappoint again. Food was excellent and the ambiance is very rustic and cozy. Our server was great as well! Would definately recommend!

Arrived a few minutes before our reservation on Valentine's Day. We were greeted and seated immediately in a lovely small dining room where one could actually carry on a conversation. The four course prefix that was offered included many interesting choices. All the food we had was excellent....beef carpaccios, scallops, salad, salmon, pork chop and dessert sampler. Service by Natalie was outstanding. She was attentive, professional and didn't rush us. Drinks were good and reasonably priced compared to some other restaurants. We willl surely be returning in the near future! Thank you Washington House.
