Best Historic Restaurants in Newport

Service was amazing as was the food. We were celebrating a birthday and they reserved a table next to the fireplace for us.

First time here. Limited menu for the holiday but not an issue. Enjoyed the sea bass with lobster risotto. Had a martini that was served in an oversized glass or it was a very measured pour. It was warm so I think they gave me a shot of vodka and not a martini. Nice view.

We had a lovely evening at Five On Vine. Terrell M. was our server. He did an excellent job of explaining the menu, answering any questions, and making recommendations. We enjoyed our flavorful cocktails and the fried green tomatoes and OTR Wellington, ( pigs in blanket), as our apps. Everyone enjoyed their entrees: pork chop, lamb shank, Vodka rigatoni with Gracie’s meatballs and crab and shrimp scampi with a side of lobster mac n cheese. The clam chowder is prepared with fresh clams and very hearty. The accompanying focaccia bread was perfect for soaking up any sauces at the table. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Terrell did a great job of taking care of our table and making sure our needs were met. Great service, great food, and a great experience at Five on Vine.

Been going to the Dickens, brunch for over 20 years. There’s a reason we’ve been going that long,the food ,the atmosphere,and the service. The Christmas carolers sing table side and the decorations do help put you in Christmas spirit.

The special French dinner was wonderful. Each course was prepared with great attention to flavors. Portion sizes were filling. Ryan Rachel and Andrew made sure everything flowed smoothly. Would definitely do this again.
