Best Historic Restaurants in South Bound Brook

This is our go-to place for any special occasion and last night was a birthday!!! We had a lovely table near the fireplace and our favorite server, George. We are made to feel very important. Jose, the maitre’d has the ability to make every customer feel like a VIP. Many restaurants have good food, but here you are made to feel special. We started with shrimp cocktail and the specimens were very large. The sauce as hot as we love!! Entrees were chosen from the specials, a black bass and a sliced filet mignon. Both excellent. We had the bread pudding for dessert, that came with a candle, plate decoration and a singing troupe!!! A very nice Sauvignon blanc washed it all down. A perfect celebration!!!!

The food and atmosphere were outstanding! Creative and delicious combinations of flavors. Kielbasa appetizer was a winner as was the octopus. Scallops, salmon, and suckling pig entrees were all well prepared and beautifully presented. Cocktails were on the weak side but the cappuccino was excellent.

Fantastic night. good ambiance, we are definitely coming back.
