Best Historic Restaurants in Lexington

This is the best restaurant we've been to in Lexington thus far, excelling in all areas (food, service, and atmosphere). We appreciated their attention to detail in the dishes and drinks, their communication and attentiveness in service, and the calm, cozy environment that was neither loud nor rushed.

Food solid as always. *Top notch* service. A Lexington institution.

What can I say. Creative takes on traditional dishes, the small plates are absolutely amazing! As a foodie I've been privileged to have had some of the best dishes from some of the most acclaimed restaurants and I have to say I was blown away! I'd recommend 4 small plates to share. That way you can experience multiple dishes. Portions are perfect for two. We had the mushroom bruschetta, crab cakes, beef takaki and Brussel sprouts. Be sure to start with one of their drink specials from the bar or a glass of wine from an extensive wine list. And half price drinks at happy hour if you get there early. Officially our new favorite restaurant in Lexington!

Perfect dinner, roaring fire, excellent food and service. Can't wait to go back.

Sandy was an EXCELLENT waitress to begin with. The food, as always, was great. The bar area is a wonderful venue to dine in.
