Best Historic Restaurants in Jamestown

My wife and I made a reservation after some research on the establishment. We expected this to be a very nice experience. We had no idea that our evening would be so special and memorable. We were seated on the second floor directly in front of the large fireplace. Our server was fantastic. He was courteous, prompt, attentive, and delightful to talk to. And then the food was served...... Wow! My complete compliments go to the chef. Absolutely delightful. Needless to say that if you are in the area, this is a must experience to believe stop. Yes, it may be a bit pricey, but completely worth every penny. Thank you to the entire staff of White Horse Tavern.

Beautiful place to have a meal, views to Newport are spectacular. Have been a few times, and the food and service are always terrific. The patio area is a blast when the weather is warm, live music, etc. if you're not there for the view/location, you may find it on the pricy side.. but a good value for the location IMO

It is always a positive experience here…last evening was no exception…at least 7 people checked on us, served us or just smiled at us…every person on the staff seemed to really enjoy their jobs and team of associates…kudos to Matt, Tory, Cassandra and your teammates!!!!

Perfect little casual lunch spot to kick off the new year! We loved our spot at the bar and the staff was so friendly! The kale salad with avocado is so yummy - paired with the baked clams it was the perfect lunch for a catch up with a good friend.

Love the service, food, and atmosphere at the Vanderbuilt! Staff is friendly, professional and attentive. Food is delicious and served quickly. Great overall experience and a favorite spot!
