Best Historic Restaurants in Ewing

Went for brunch. Everything was really great, it’s gorgeous inside and the ambiance is wonderful. Service was attentive and our food was excellent.

Food was delicious as usual. Butternut squash soup was amazingly thick and creamy with pieces of crispy pancetta. The Peking duck pot pie was savory. The presentation with the huge puff pastry on top was beautiful. We sat in the romance room with a roasting fire and candle lit ambience. The owner came by to ask us about our meal. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

The Revere was the perfect place to have dinner on a cold January evening. I had seasoned chicken which was delicious and a large enough portion to bring home for another meal. The tables are far enough apart so my friends and vs I didn’t feel crowded by other dinners. Our waitress was attentive.

Our go-to restaurant when we have friends and family visiting. The service is always excellent, the menu expansive enough for everyone to find something they like, and the choice between the more energetic historic section of the tavern or the quieter greenhouse area is really appreciated. Some menu favorites of ours... the pork schnitzel with mustard sauced potatoes, the bacon wrapped shrimp and calamari appetizers, and definitely the homemade rice pudding. A gem of a restaurant in an unlikely location that's worth the trip.

Always a good meal here. BYOB is a plus. The pasta we had was house made, very light and delicate which made for a delicious meal. House salad comes with a very light dressing.
