- KKirstieYorkshire •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoI love going to Headlam Hall. It's a unique, relaxing, old fashioned venue. The Christmas lunch was enjoyable, the food served was to a high standard. More brioche with the parfaiit would have been nice or less parfait. The Christmas pudding was oustanding. However I do feel there were a few missing details during the experience. When being asked to go through to the restaurant it would have been nice to have our drinks carried for us. There wasn't any Christmas crackers to pull on the table and we both thought there was mince pies with the tea and coffee mentioned on the original menu we saw not just a standard chocolate mint. While all team members were polite and happy to help I dont feel anyone went the extra mile to make us feel special. Did anyone wish us a Merry Christmas? Headlam Hall in my mind is the best hotel in the local area but needs to up its game slightly and not sit on its laurels. An enjoyable lunch not spoiled by my expected high standards of the venue.More infoHeadlam HallPrice: Expensive• British• Darlington•4.4
