Our restaurant currently serves an a la carte, garden forward menu for lunch from 11:00am to 1:45pm (M-F) and an a la carte dinner menu daily from 5:30pm to 8:45pm.     Had 1 pm reservations for a Friday lunch and were seated promptly. Dining room was full which was a sign of its popularity. The dining room was nicely decorated and the table settings and tablecloths were a quality touch. Nathan, our server was exceedingly polite and welcoming: a professional in all respects. We ordered the Chicken pot pie. I noticed that no side salad was available on the menu and asked Nathan if one were available. He said it wasn’t a problem at all and the side salads provided were perfect. The pot pie was served in a a tall, cup-like dish, sitting in a lower, wider dish, topped with a puff-pastry biscuit on top. We actually weren’t sure how to eat it and Nathan explained we should remove the pastry, pour the pot pie into the larger dish, and put the pastry on top. The instructions were very helpful and given in such a way as to not embarrass us, much to Nathan’s credit. The pot pie was delicious with generously-sized portions of white meat. We ordered a side of breads, a small basket with a variety of rolls. All were freshly made and tasty. We finished with apple pie a la mode. The pie was also freshly-made and delicious, with a fluffy crust totally different than mass-produced pies. Red Lion is definitely worth the visit: both the food and staff are exceptional and the Inn is just full of character. Make sure you make reservations!

    Driven by this place for years and thought it was a farm stand/garden center. Finally tried it. Will be back soon! Great brunch and lunch entrees. Haven't tried dinner yet but loved what I experienced. Try the Terrain breakfast and the Dill Bloody Mary is truly unique..

    I would say 3.5 star. Between good and very good. It was good, food was good and service was certainly good. Its a cute restaurant, the name suits it. Chairs are simple wood and rather uncomfortable. Ambiance is nice but wouldn't see this as an upscale dining experience. Its rustic, hence the name. The menu is small and interesting, portions pretty small and not a spectacular presentation. As mentioned, i thought the food was good but not spectacular and not sure the price is justified but i guess it's westport. Wine is definitely overpriced. I'll probably be back but not a go-to.

    Dining here is always a delight. The specials were a treat and the regular menu scrumptious. Not one for flowery tasting teas, I adored the "Paris" blend. Also: congratulations to the staff who are graduating and may the rest enjoy their winter break.
