Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. Brought my boyfriend here to celebrate his 40th birthday. We arrived to an opening celebratory warm drink from the chef before being shown to our table. At the table we found a handwritten happy birthday card and proceeded to have the best dinner either of us has had in awhile. It was amazing. Our waiter, Nickoli ( hope I am spelling it correctly) was phenomenal. We loved our time here and left with full belly’s and happy hearts. Much thanks!

Wonderful experience for my boyfriends birthday. The food was delicious! We ordered the rack of lamb in which was cooked to perfection at medium rare. Our waitress kept our dinner paced properly, checked in appropriately and truly enhanced our dining experience and we will be back!

We were sat 40 minutes passed our reservation’s timeframe while coming 10 minutes early. Food was tasty and priced fairly. Service was okay. It took awhile for us to order drinks and food. Other tables were offered more bread while we did not receive the same but would have appreciated it with our kebabs. Would definitely come back hoping for better service next time.
