Best Healthy Restaurants in South St. Paul

A gem of a restaurant! We were warmly welcome at the door, promptly seated, great 4 course menu, friendly staff and owners. Perfect place to celebrate, or just enjoy delicious food.

The four of us had exceptional food. The portions are extremely large. My husband and I shared the pork chop dinner and felt satisfied with just having half the meal and adding either a soup or a salad. The dessert portions are also huge, definitely a share size dessert. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is kind of loud. This is not a cheap restaurant but very good food and you get what you paid for.

It was the same wonderful food, service, quality dining as the Lake Elmo Inn. We loved Corrie our server. She was engaging and fun. We hope more people find the treasure in the 1881 restaurant. It is a nice little find.

We had a terrific service along with a great atmosphere where my sister met for lunch. It was quiet and comfortable. The food was really good and our party ordered the salad with grill fired salmon, cheeseburger, fish and grilled chicken. All were very good and we cannot wait to return. The popovers were a nice treat and a great surprise. It brought back some memories of when we were young and our mother would take us to a restaurant at Christmas time where popovers were served. We will be making an annual tradition to visit with family here around the holidays. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I walked over from my hotel as I was staying over before flying out the following morning. It was the day after Christmas and it was BUSY. The food was good. I’m had the chicken pot pie. The ambience was a bit loud because of the holiday - but I don’t fault the restaurant. I mean I would definitely come again next time I’m in Minneapolis. It’s also across from Mall of America
