Best Healthy Restaurants in South Side

I would give this 5 stars except for the price - a bit steep for lunch -,but the food was amazing except for the risotto which was too sweet for a main course. I have just returned from Italy and I would say this food was very authentic. The calamari was exceptional and I’ve ordered it in a lot of places. I loved the ambiance and appreciated the quietness of the restaurant especially given that so many places thrive on a high noise level. We also enjoyed the music selection.

Amazing food and wonderful service. Very attentive and helpful. The presentation was lovely and everything came out in a proper order. Delightful and elegant tastes.

We came over to check in about 15 mins before our reservations and we were seared immediately. Everyone was so friendly and polite. The place was decorated beautifully. We love the fairies that come around to the table no matter how old you are. They were so sweet and make the experience even more enjoyable. Our waiter was wonderful so attentive, never having to look for him, always refilling our glasses and providing prompt and friendly service. Food came out quick and was very good. We never felt rushed. We were able to go by the tree and take pictures. It was just a fabulous time. We had our first experience there last year and now we’ve made this an annual tradition. We look forward to many more years to come.

My daughter and I dined there last night and we were really impressed all the way around. From being greeted at the door (he was fabulous) and our server was equally fabulous. I sat and watched the servers and they were "on-point". There wasn't a glass that wasn't filled immediately, a plate taken away when meal completed in the most timeliest facet. The decor was great - felt like a really vibrant atmosphere and the food, the food, the food was the best. I enjoyed this experience and will definitely refer my friends but more importantly will be back. Chef's Kiss! This is a restaurant you don't want to skip.

We had an outstanding experience at Beatrix before seeing a Broadway production at the Cadillac Palace Theater. The location was perfect for our purposes and it was a wonderful experience! We ordered from the theater menu, which had multiple options and meant we placed our entire order at the beginning of the meal. It was a good value, with appetizer, entree, and dessert all included in the price of $35, and is available Monday through Friday after 3 pm. Ordering that way allowed for great timing of food delivery without being rushed. Every item was delicious and perfectly prepared, and service was wonderful. For appetizers we had the Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts and the Whipped Feta. Our entrees were the Pecan-Crusted Whitefish and Chicken Bebe. For dessert we both had the Tall, Dark and Handsome Chocolate Cake, which was very rich. It was a little noisy, as there seemed to be some after-work business groups, but we were promptly moved to another location on request which was much quieter. We had more than we could eat and enjoyed every bite. We will choose Beatrix again when enjoying a theater evening and look forward to checking out the Oak Brook location.
