Best Healthy Restaurants in Friendship Heights

The moment we walked into La Grande Boucherie DC we felt welcomed. The hostess at the entrance shared a little about the beautiful venue before seating us. PRETTY COOL BAR! Our waiter, Steven welcomed us again before introducing himself. His attention made our visit special, as well as the overall staff. We ordered the lobster bisque and the pear salad, the salmon and the steak frites and shared a cheesecake for dessert. We certainly enjoyed our food and dining experience. La Grande Boucherie in NY had already made a good impression on us when we organized a large gathering with family and friends. This was Valentine’s Day and the service was excellent! They were really busy, kitchen a bit backed up, however the restaurant was quaint and quiet with everyone from families to date nights. My son enjoyed the small train that travels through the restaurant. The food was delicious and arrived hot. Our server was attentive. Clyde’s rarely disappoints. It’s good to know we can depend on them for a superb experience no matter the holiday!

The food and service is excellent including the front desk. The "tables for two" are nicely arranged, but larger groups are accomodated as well. The food was still hot when we received it which is great especially for fish dishes. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our requests. Try the Sea Bass!!

This was an amazing experience I really enjoyed the fact that from the moment you arrive they make it feel personal as if you and your guest as if you rented out the place.. every dish was explained in great culinary fashion and I love the way each server and host incorporated their knowledge of the dish being served. Hands down one of the premier experiences in the D.C area and a must for impressing any level of company you have. The value is very worth it but the experience is priceless..

There was a slight delay with seating the reservations. Based on overhearing the communication between the hostess and other staff, it seemed to be largely due to the inexperience of the waiting staff. However, I attribute most of it due to the holiday, Valentine’s Day. It Can feel a little tight as they’ve maximized the use of all available space to seat patrons, so if you get a little claustrophobic, you may want to consider dining at a time that isn’t busy. Overall great value and great experience, especially for the Washington DC area. The only recommendation I would make to Rumi’s Kitchen would be to broaden your selection of wines by the glass. At the price point of your bottles of wine, it makes it a little difficult for some patrons to commit to making the purchase of a bottle.  Thanks for the good time!
