Food and wine are consistently good and ambiance is great for an adult night out.

I bought my boyfriend for his birthday and he loved it! Though it was not our first time, going to Blackwall Barn & Lodge always feels like a new experience. The servers, Tasha and Christy, were working double time with serving the floor and the bar, but they were consistent and attentive as well as just fun to interact with. The managers do not shy away from helping run food and speaking to customers. For appys, we order the fried tomatoes and a caesar salad. My bf has a tree nut allergy, and the caesar salad does come with almonds and granola, but they were apologetic and expeditious in providing a new salad without. Our entrees were EXCELLENT! We both had specials, I had the crusted lamb with mashed potatoes and veggies and he had the salmon with polenta....amazing! As it was his birthday, they no longer do the free dessert, but they offer a coupon and card for your next visit. Overall, I will be returning....with or without him LOL

There were four of us for an early dinner on Saturday, Jan 4. Our reservation had been made a day prior, and we were seated immediately at a nice booth in the bar area of the restaurant. One of us ordered the trout dinner, another a flatbread and beet salad, and two of us ordered steak salads. All the food was perfectly prepared and arrived together right from the kitchen. Each dish was delicious, including the best steak salad I have had in years. As we were headed to the movies, we did not have time for dessert on this visit, but we will be back for sure.

This was my first time at this restaurant. The decor is very inviting, tasteful, and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Food was fantastic!! The lobster ravioli appetizer was superb 👌-- very flavorful and just enough to activate the palate for the main course. The short rib pappadelle was tasty, but for me it lacked "kick" Great experience overall.
