The dog friendly area looked great although we only passed through The access and amenities for older or slightly disabled friends was excellent. Food is always wonderfully presented and tastes good! People serving were friendly and efficient. Thank you for a very pleasant lunch.More infoThe Beetle & WedgePrice: Moderate• British• Wallingford•4.6

- CClaireLondon •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoLovely pub with great food. It is a bit out of the way if you don't know where you're going, but a good find. We shared the haggis bon bons & the squid to start with. Never had haggis with apple sauce but it worked. Then both had the beef & game pie which was very tasty and great pastry and came with red cabbage. We ordered 2 portions of chips to have with the pie as we were both hungry, but reality with a starter then one portion would have been plenty! Definitely no room for pudding! The guys running the place were very pleasant and helpful and it was warm - we ate in the bar. The toilets were clean (ladies) - the men's weren't used. We would go back.More infoThe Chequers InnPrice: Moderate• Contemporary British• Stokenchurch•4.8
