Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Amazing service from our waiter. A young lad who served us ( we sat downstairs) . He was incredibly friendly, super attentive and accommodating. Was able to help us with questions regarding the menu and gave reasons for preference. The food was amazing, I’d say slightly overpriced for the portions but could not fault it in any way. Portions were enough and we shared 2 starter between 5 adults which was enough. I would recommend this cute , cosy restaurant to anyone and definitely would go back 😊

Loved the experience but meal was a bit ruined by adding heavily fishy broccoli as a side to a beef cheek dish. We didn’t realise the side came with the fishy topping. :( Thought the portions of main were small for price point. Charming staff and really glad we visited! Thanks!
