Lunch Menu - Two Courses for £30 / Three Courses for £35We are an independent restaurant in the heart of Chester offering microseasonal dining with menus designed around what's growing on our farm in Daresbury. Menus change every four to six weeks. Happy Hour is available in our lounge from 4-6pm on Thursday-Saturday with "Two for £15" Cocktails, wine and beer specials. Please note we are currently card-only and unable to accept cash. Meat / Game / Pescatarian / Vegetarian / Vegan / GF / DF- - -If your preferred time is not available please make a note on your reservation and we will try our best to accommodate you in the event of a cancellation. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.

    Centrally located in Chester with multi story parking locally. Very smartly presented resaurant. Attentive staff in a relaxed atmosphere. All the courses were very well presented. The Lunch menu was resonably priced . Not the cheapest restaurant to dine at but well worth a visit if you like fine dining.

    This was my first time dining at Shrub and it certainly won’t be my last. Excellent location, service amazing and so very helpful- lovely staff, food excellent- love the choices available - all superbly prepared. Thank you Shrub - I will spread the word of this amazing plant food restaurant and I look forward to my next visit very soon.

    Amazing night at the Opera Grill! Everything was outstanding. The food was delicious, the best fillet steak I have had in a long time. The service was friendly and the waiter was brilliant, gave recommendation on food and drink. The manager came and introduced himself, excellent service. We booked our meal in the music lounge and the band were fantastic. We live over 6 hours away from Chester, but would definitely visit again and highly recommend for the food and the whole experience.

    We’ve been wanting to try Covino since we moved to Chester almost 3 years ago and can’t believe we left it so long. Great service, good quality ingredients cooked expertly and all the dishes we tried were delicious. The wine also was really good . We we definitely be putting Covino on our rotation of great places to eat in Chester
