Haikan is our second Sapporo Ramen shop in DC after Daikaya. Haikan means, “pipe works” in Japanese, an ode to Atlantic Plumbing Building where we are located. At Haikan, we focused on creating the taste of ramen from the showa period, the golden age of ramen in Japan. There are over 1000 ramen shops in the city of Sapporo alone, and we are excited to share a completely new line-up of traditional Sapporo style ramen in DC. It was my first time there with my friend and we really enjoyed ourselves. We opted to sit in the restaurant area and the music was nice. Definitely snapping and singing along. The staff was very friendly, and attentive to our needs. Our server Christopher was amazing. He gave us great suggestions on appetizers and entree selections and they were perfect. Get the Grand Marnier wings and the oxtail dinner. The rum cake did not appoint. I had the hands on your knees drink and it was good. Stop thinking about it and go.

The DJ and karaoke was great! Lively brunch!! My daughter had a great 21st birthday! The floor manager was very accommodating and friendly. The food options were good, disappointed the waffle and omelet station closed earlier than rest of buffet. The cost of $50, there should be a unlimited Mimosa add on. Frozen drinks a little pricey. Overall, we will be back!
