Inside of the Hotel W in Punta de Mita, Spice Market Beach is a restaurant dedicated to exploring the flavors of Southeast Asia. The restaurant takes its style from the family-style dining traditions that are common throughout the region. Here, instead of the guest ordering a meal and having it delivered, food arrives at the table throughout the course of the whole meal and is meant to be shared amongst the entire group. Spice Market Beach carries food from multiple countries including Taiwain, Vietnam, Korea and China. Spice Market Beach specializes in the various curries as well as tandoori chicken and vinegar-infused pork vindaloo.

The restaurant was great, the food was good. The Green Curry (with shrimp, not tofu) was outstanding. The disappointing aspect was the waiter, he was great until the bill came and he on purpose did not add the tip we asked him to, and instead wanted cash. He refused to cancel the credit card bill and add the tip. I've never had this happen before, it was disappointing and made me wonder about going back to a restaurant I have been to several times.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at here, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. As someone who appreciates authentic Northern Mexican cuisine, this place truly delivers. First, the food – absolutely delicious. The carne asada tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the tortillas were fresh and soft. I also tried the pork which was tender and full of flavor, a dish you don't often see in many places. Their salsa was a fantastic touch, with a variety of salsas that ranged from mild to fiery, each one packing its own unique flavor profile. What really sets this restaurant apart, however, is the exceptional service. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like family. They were welcoming, attentive, and more than happy to explain the dishes and offer recommendations. Our server, David and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, checking in regularly to make sure everything was to our liking. The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, it’s clear that a lot of care goes into making the space comfortable and cozy. If you’re looking for an authentic Northern Mexican food experience, I highly recommend venzau! I’ll definitely be back for more of their mouthwatering dishes and amazing hospitality!

If u have dined here before… be aware! The renovation of MM is ok luxe surroundings but has lost the charm of an authentic Mexico on the beach with the open grill and fresh fish coming in! So disappointed! No tacos on the menu anymore. High priced items that were still very good. Service and staff were exceptional. The St. Regis has made some changes…. Some for the good but some not so good. I will rethink my return.
