- FFrankWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe overall experience was great. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and is by the water. The server was attentive and personable. She had good menu knowledge and offered recommendations. The food was tasty and well presented. Food service was timely and competitively priced. I only have one suggestion on the food. I would upgrade the quality of the ribeye. The steak was by no means bad but I would have preferred a better quality steak.More infoRye Street TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Port Covington•4.5
- AAdamGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was a tremendous meal, and a can't-miss restaurant when visiting Washington D.C. It was my wife and I, and we shared six plates: hummus, falafel, rice pilaf/barley, fried eggplant, brussels sprouts and (essentially) french fries. We were uncomfortably full when leaving, and this ran us a whopping $72 dollars before tip. Obviously if we had gotten drinks or wine, the price would have gone up considerably, but I can't imagine this kind of quality food in a metro area for $36/person in 2024. Plus endless homemade pita that was a cross between pita and naan was provided -- crazy delicious. The french fries had a house-made mushroom salt with a yogurt dipping sauce. The serving size on those were substantial, but basically they were just outstanding french fries. In terms of going for authentic Mediterranean food, we could have swapped this out for something else, but that was probably more our fault than theirs just having something a little more neutral on the menu for less-adventurous eaters. The other five items were all significantly above average, with my favorite being the sprouts and my wife favoring the barley/pilaf. Also, the speed with which we got through our meal was noteworthy -- one hour as they rotated through plates one at a time. It was a well-oiled machine.More infoZaytinya - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Penn Quarter•4.7

- JJoanWashington, D.C. Area •17 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoYesterday evening we celebrated my daughter's 38th birthday at Elizabeth's- and now all of us are ready to go back tonight. The minute you walk in the door of Elizabeth's you feel as if you have been welcomed into a cosy and elegant historical home. We were greeted warmly by Elizabeth and the staff, all of whom are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and culinarily multi-talented. And the dinner experience is similar to being served a new piece of artwork with each course. Would I ever be able to replicate the Klamath Return, a kombu-marinated chioggia beet, caraway crisp and celery root, or the Cleopatra's Ambrosia, with sea buckthorn, pink banana sorbet and kinome leaf, or the Velvet Immortal with the saffron pickled enoki mushroom? Not in my wildest dreams. My family normally inhales their food, but this time conversation was at a minimum as we took time to appreciate each new amazing taste sensation. Our party consisted of one vegan, one vegetarian , and two omnivores, and all of us agreed Elizabeth's is the best restaurant in DC.More infoElizabeth'sPrice: Very Expensive• Vegan• Downtown•4.9
- AAprilSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 9, 2024As always, everything was great from beginning to end. I feel some of the portions could have been a bit more since we were a table of 5 but that's how they get you to order 2 of things and not just one. The staff were attentive and great as usual. We had a little snafu with one of our after lunch teas being cold but it was remedied very quickly. Of course we'll be returning in the future. Everything on the menu must be tried!More infoLebanese Taverna - BaltimorePrice: Moderate• Middle Eastern• Harbor East•4.4
