The location spans 1,700 square feet, seats 50 inside and 20 people on the patio and will feature a California – Italian menu. The atmosphere is cozy, warmly lit, with wood paneled walls and custom lighting.     The view, cuisine and service were superb. I visited with a friend from overseas for lunch to celebrate my BD. We had fresh steamed clams, open crab sandwich and prime rib sandwich. They were all exquisite. We had crème brûlée dessert that was over the top. Our server Nicole was friendly and knowledgeable. The manager took the time to welcome us. I cherish our time at Skates. Do not miss dining there!

    Holy cow! Excellent food and service! Great quaint location. Had the steak and scallops dishes for dinner. Delicious, tasty, well-seasoned, well cooked. Opened up with the charred Brussels sprouts and beef carpaccio. Also had the little gem salad. Their bread is soft and crunchy at the same time? How’s that? The place was sold out and with a line of people waiting for their turn to sit at a table. Owners are present and working. Just a great restaurant with great dishes!

    This was a special occasion. My sister loves Ajanta, is from out of town and hadn’t visited in a while. We were welcomed graciously, given a table by the window and then served a wonderful meal. Truly memorable. Well done Ajanta.
