My first impression was of the fantastic hostess (I wish I knew her name) and our waitress (Keeley—sp?). We could not have asked for better service or guidance on the menu. Next came the food, and last came the dessert. Overall, it was the best meal in Old and highly recommended.

As usual, the food at Mi Vida was outstanding. We shared an order of guacamole and an order of shrimp tacos, which were both excellent. We also has a couple different kinds of margaritas, also excellent. The problem was the service, which was absolutely disjointed, uncoordinated and untimely. We asked for the guacamole and tacos to be served at the same time. They were not. The guac arrived first, followed about five minutes later by the tacos. Only then did out drinks arrive. Although the restaurant was not busy, it took forever to catch our server's attention to find our what was happening. Hey Mi Vida wait staff: Here's a clue--if you don't see drinks already on the table, that's a sign that the food should not yet be served. Never has this problem at other Knead Restaurant Group properties. Maybe it's just a Mi Vida Penn Quarter problem.

There is a lot of great choices on the menu. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quiet (mostly because we dined on a holiday, but I am certain if we dined on a normal day it would’ve been lively and energetic). Our server was wonderful, and the food was great. The pizzas are great to share among 2 people as they are individual pizzas with 6 sizeable slices. The pastas a generous portion and fit the price. They do add gratuity (tip) to the bill & leave you the option to add more. Overall the experience was wonderful and I would recommend and go again.
