Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. We don’t know exactly how old the bar is, but it’s at least seventy years old (probably older) and very cozy. Our friendly bartenders are here to make something you like.

    Enjoyed a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner in this marvelous venue! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!! We live in Florida but are from Pa. We discussed making this a Thanksgiving tradition. Everything from venue to people and service to food and drink was incredible! The only disappointment was they didn’t have any Christmas decorations up. I understand they put those up the weekend after Thanksgiving. It would have made for a more festive atmosphere. They’re open 7 days a week and I highly recommend one visit for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch.

    This is our second year in a row going to The Wooden Nickel for Thanksgiving dinner. It was an excellent choice once again. Our turkey meal was quite tasty. However, the real standout was the outstanding service we received from Maddie. She was genuinely warm, attentive, and efficient. Her service certainly helped make our visit an enjoyable one.
