- CCarolineSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThere were 6 of us today at Terrain. Everyone enjoyed their meals but we were disappointed that there was no French Toast at 1:00 pm. Brunch goes until 4:00pm on Saturdays so I feel this was a misjudgment in the kitchens planning. All in all it’s a lovely place but due to the holidays was very loud. We will all return again as we enjoyed our experience.More infoTerrain Cafe – Glen MillsPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Glen Mills•4.4

We came here for my mother's retirement party, and I want to give a special shoutout to Emily for taking our details and customizing our menus with her name, but also our knowledgeable server/bartender Kyle for answering our questions and being very attentive, etc. Our party of four had the sea bass, antelope and acorn squash soup for appetizers, and the duck, cod, scallops and waygu. For dessert, the mont blanc (mouse/chocolate/apple (?) crust) dessert, and a dessert that was a cookie, a lining of marshmallow and something else. Cannot remember the name. But standing out was the lineup of drinks, and I say this as someone who generally is a purist (no mixed drinks) with alcohol. I did have some scotch, but also had a Cary Grant (the one with Bulleit Rye), Frank Sinatras and the sweeter Marilyn Monroe. All extremely well done. Kris Kringles (vodka, rum and some pistachio liqueur combo?) were also good. My brother and I are from out of town, but if we can find a way back here and another reason to celebrate another milestone, we will absolutely find our way back here. Only recommendation I have is maybe to carry one of the local spirits, but really no bother otherwise. Shoutout again to Emily and Kyle for making our experience one to remember.More infoJosephine'sPrice: Expensive• Modern European• Lancaster•4.9

- XXavierWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoA Birthday to Remember at Belvedere Inn For my birthday dinner, my wife and I decided to celebrate at Belvedere Inn, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality. The ambiance was simply enchanting—elegant yet inviting, with soft lighting and a touch of sophistication that set the perfect tone for the evening. The attention to detail in the decor was remarkable, creating an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and intimate. The menu was a culinary masterpiece, offering a variety of dishes that appealed to every palate. Every plate that arrived at our table was not just beautifully presented but also an explosion of flavor. We Started out with steamed mussels white wine, garlic, shallots and house made bread. I opted for the chicken piccata, cooked to perfection, while my wife savored the pan-seared scallops w/ veggies and chopped lobster, which was rich and creamy without being overwhelming. The dessert—a chocolate hazelnut richer with caramel and cocoa crumbs—was the cherry on top of an already extraordinary meal. What truly set Belvedere Inn apart, though, was the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made thoughtful recommendations that elevated our experience even further. To our surprise, the staff also brought out a complimentary dessert to mark my birthday, complete with a personalized message. In every aspect—food, ambiance, and service—Belvedere Inn exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in an unforgettable meal, I wholeheartedly recommend it. We can’t wait to return!More infoBelvedere Inn Restaurant and BarPrice: Expensive• American• Lancaster•4.8
- PPatrickPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024After a few years not dining at The Log Cabin, we returned for our 48th anniversary. The booth room was where we last celebrated so we returned there. There are 3 booths and two tables - all were occupied by couples celebrating their anniversaries. My wife had Pasta Primavira, I had the Salmon Oscar. Both were outstanding. Being non- drinkers I can not comment regarding the libations and the server was excellent as we're all the staff, efficient and friendly. As we finished with coffee, a local roast, Whiff coffee roaster which was very good, the owner of the restaurant made his way around the dining rooms and spoke with each couple. Not just in passing but had actual conversations at each stop, ending with an invitation to explore the facility and look around. Very impressive. The prices are not for the faint hearted but in keeping with a fine dining experience. The decor has been redone and refreshed from the last time we were here; it seems brighter and yet intimate at the same time. We will renew our anniversary tradition at the Log Cabin going forward and more than likely bring family and friends for those special dinner celebrations ahead.More infoThe Log CabinPrice: Very Expensive• American• Leola•4.8
