Absolutely amazing dining experience!!! The grilled octopus is by far the best appetizer, our favorite and only restaurant that has it down to a science! The flavor is outstanding, temperature is always just right! I am a loyal customer and always order the house entree “PESCATORE”…you can never go wrong with a dish named after a restaurant….this dish NEVER disappoints. The crab gravy is beyond delicious, shrimp, clams and mussels are always done just right. We also ordered the salmon special which was over a lobster broccoli risotto, from the very first taste it kept getting even more flavorful….This is a must try. Double espressos (with our BYO Sambuca) and their homemade tiramisu was a perfect ending to an amazing dining experience. Aside from the food, the staff went over & beyond….with the change of ownership/management, you definitely feel a positive change in the climate….Asad is so very personable, welcomes us when he sees us and makes us feel right at home. The female server (Armenian, just forgot her name) has a great personality, goes over and beyond and truly cares about the customers. Evan…what an incredible young man….Truly loves the food industry, kind, personable and very engaging! Thank you so very much, Asad & staff, and the amazing chefs/cooks in the kitchen, we never get to meet you, but truly appreciate your talent and thank you for such an amazing dining experience. And to the new ownership, we love the changes to the decor, lighting and overall ambience….Many thanks and all the best and great success. Thank you!

Boyfriend and I went and split three dishes, which came recommended from a server. Onion soup, warm shrimp salad, and the steak frites. Everything was fantastic. We ordered our steak medium, and it came out very medium rare. Our server returned it, the manager came out and apologized. They returned with a corrected steak and more frites. Definitely recommend eating the frites with the steak in one bite. Good one their own but together- chef’s kiss! All of the food was incredible, and felt like we were back in Paris for an hour. Only critique would be for the bread to come warm to the table, or the butter to be softened so it could easily spread on the bread.

As a last minute addition to this year’s holiday celebrations, I decided to treat my daughter to high tea at the Akwaaba Tea Salon! We both had been wanting to visit the Tea Salon and what better time than the present for an impromptu visit! I’m so glad I did! We had such a lovely time at high tea! We were warmly greeted by the hostess, and although we were a bit early, we were promptly seated at a quaint table. Our lovely server, Mekhia(? sorry if I spelled her name incorrectly)explained the different types of tea selections and let us know how the afternoon would unfold. Absolutely everything about our time at the Tea Salon was great! The tea was flavorful and soothing and the food from the scones to the petit sandwiches and desserts were delicious! And the entire staff we interacted with were lovely. At first I wasn’t sure what to think about prepaying, but when were finished and had spent a good time leisurely chatting(90 minutes is actually longer than I thought it was), I actually loved that the whole “check please” was eliminated. And although the gratuity was included in the prepayment, I left an extra small tip because we really did have a lovely time! Looking forward to visiting the Tea Salon again soon.
