Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Clintonville

My partner and I went to Columbus for an overnight and booked the Guild House for dinner. To say the least, our experience there made our entire weekend. We loved it. It was fine dining at its best and a very European style dinner. The service was excellent in that our server took care of us but allowed us to enjoy our meal and only came over when necessary. The food was presented beautifully and was very good and in just the right size servings. My partner had the Cavatelli and i had the Joyce Farms chicken. Both were excellent! We shared the Caramel apple for dessert. Excellent as well! A visit that made our entire weekend! Strongly recommend eating here! THANKS!

I took my husband here for his birthday. It was very pretty inside but really loud. The music was too much and it felt a little overwhelming to have an intimate dinner. However, the food and service were absolutely impeccable. First of all, I am gluten and dairy intolerant. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful as I navigated the menu. We ordered the gluten free bread service which was so delicious. Then, the martini salad, which the server split for us, hubby's had cheese, mine without. Hubby ordered Lasagna. He said it may have been the best Lasagna he had ever eaten. I ordered the chicken picatta with a side of gluten free pasta with arrabiatta sauce. Let me tell you, these two dishes were absolutely to die for. Their gluten free pasta is some sort of magic. It is tender and so close to normal pasta you'll think they're lying! We finished with the gluten free pistachio cake and the creme Brule for hubby. Both were extremely good. Overall, this is one of the best dining experiences I've had with my dietary restrictions. Definitely recommend.

We went to the Chalet downstairs and it was awesome. Decorated like a ski lodge, it was a great atmosphere, and the cocktails were very good and unique. Our server Michael was fantastic. Highly recommend a trip here before the Chalet goes away until next Christmas.

Our server, Thomas, was outstanding—attentive, personable, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the evening. The food was simply divine. We indulged in the Wagyu A5 and the Barrel Cut Filet, both cooked to absolute perfection—each bite was a testament to the culinary artistry of the kitchen. The Dover Sole was a showstopper, not just visually stunning but bursting with flavor. And the Pork Wings? An unexpected delight that added a perfect touch of creativity to the meal. Jeff Ruby’s is more than just a meal; it’s a masterclass in fine dining. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary experience!

Our waiter Jayden was very helpful and personable in picking out our food from the menu. The house Merlot was delicious. We loved the split of the wedge salad.Our steaks were well prepared and tasted so amazing. I had the steak Nicklaus and the portion was perfect. We split the potato gratin, Brussels sprouts with bacon jam and 5 cheese Mac and cheese. The chocolate torte was the best way to end our meal. Wonderful experience and so welcoming.
