Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Buffalo Grove

As the last time, our experience at Saranello’s was exceptional. Starting with the decor, ambiance of the bar area, lighting, was very engaging. Our server Lisa was outstanding. She was always very pleasant, always attentive to our needs, showed great initiative. And went beyond our expectations when she suggested I used soda water for the pasta sauce that splattered on my shirt. She instantly brought me the soda water, without me requesting it. The calamari was one of the best we ever had, especially with the variety of peppers and sauce that comes with it. My girlfriend loved her Fettuccine Alfredo, and my Shrimp Diablo tasted soooo good. I’ve never had so much shrimp provided in any entree ever. The plate presentations of both were beautiful. The bread has no preservatives as it tasted great and was warm. Saranello’s is one of the best restaurants we’ve ever visited, in the north suburbs or anywhere for that matter. Please go!

We carry out a lot but always done in with the family at Xmas. Never sat in the room behind the bar before. It was quite warm. Service was great. We pre ordered pizza but the sandwich one of us ordered came out almost at the same time as our salad and apps. So too quick. Other than that service was friendly and on top of things for such a busy night.

Great meal with excellent service can’t wait to go back.

My favorite, local restaurant. Great menu. Best quality food that's delicious from steaks, burgers, to their famous chopped salad. The service is always top-notch. I feel Lincolnshire is the best Wildfire. A bit too pricey, but the food is delicious.

We are frequent diners at Cooper’s Hawk, and not just the one in Wheeling. The food was great, the ambiance and noice were within reason. But what really stood out, beyond the food and wine, was the service. Above and beyond, management should be proud of their crew!
