Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Soba lounge is excellent. We had two apps, three different entrees and 2 desserts and each was packed with flavor and beautifully plated. I recommend the rare tuna entree, the mushrooms on the appetizers - and the chocolate maki.

We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with our friends. The food, service and wine were delicious and the setting was warm and welcoming. I was looking forward to the chicken pastina soup that I remembered was made like my grandmothers. It was different this time, but still delicious. Merry Christmas!

I had lunch at City Works to celebrate a milestone with a friend. It was the perfect space. I also asked for a quiet part of the restaurant so we could hear each other, and they found us the perfect spot. Food was excellent, service was great.
