Since 1801, Newburgh's historic North Park Road Tavern has delighted diners with its classic, yet refined, American cuisine served in its charming and relaxed restaurant. Dine indoors, or on our seasonal outdoor patio, surrounded by our perennial gardens.Chef Jerusalem Marston-Reid apprenticed under a French Master Chef, and so our New American Cuisine rooted in French culinary techniques. The Tavern has a small but diverse menu, to include chicken, fish, pasta and steak, and a bar menu and happy hour, available only at our bar.North Plark Road Tavern has not forgotten about the vegetarians, with dishes that are just as hearty and comforting as the other entrées, such as pea pancakes with roasted mushrooms and the marinated beets and goat cheese salad with pistachios.

Our new favorite spot! We’ve been there 3 times in December and each time we left full, and happy. The restaurant is in beautifully decorated rooms attached to an old mansion home (with adjacent catering halls). The service is wonderful with charismatic and professional servers. Dave was fantastic. The food is delicious and well balanced and there’s always lots of delicious options. They also have yummy house wine. We highly recommend!

Dining here is always a delight. The specials were a treat and the regular menu scrumptious. Not one for flowery tasting teas, I adored the "Paris" blend. Also: congratulations to the staff who are graduating and may the rest enjoy their winter break.

We are veteran restaurant goers who decided to try this local eatery based on friends' recommendations. The food here is innovative and cooked to perfection. The soup special was artichoke with melted buffalo mozzarella which my wife described as the best soup she has ever eaten. For our appetizer we had Orrichetta with short rib Ragu. It was one of the most delicious dishes I have ever had. For main course she had the Stripped Bass and I had the Rib-eye Steak. Both of these dishes were fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. They also came with excellent gourmet style sides. My only negative is that the Rib-eye may have been a bit overpriced at $45. The staff here was large and very attentive. They did a terrific job making this a great dining experience. This is also a BYOB which I consider a good thing(there liquor store next door). We will definitely return.
