Drinks are pricey but good. One gripe is that there always seem to be things not available - on all four visits so far.More infoTrue Food Kitchen - Walnut CreekPrice: Moderate• American• Walnut Creek•4.4
- JJillSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe ate dinner at The Hideout Kitchen on New Years Day for the first time and it was a lovely experience. We had the honey fried chicken which came with mashed potatoes and sauteed kale. Very yummy! There are very few restaurants in the East Bay with great fried chicken, and this is one of them. Not greasy, just crispy and so flavorful. Large portions. We skipped dessert but the choices looked delicious. Our server was fantastic but unfortunately I don’t have her name. Really impressed with her. The ambiance is relaxing and elegant with bookshelves holding old books and a vintage vibe. We will be back!More infoThe Hideout KitchenPrice: Moderate• American• Lafayette•4.6
- DDevanteSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoIt was a very nice environment. They played some mellow pop while I was there. I was not a huge fan of the seating arrangements kinda some smaller tables high chairs. The rainbow roll however was amazing and a few of the other rolls I got were great too. The waiter was very nice and food came out pretty fastMore infoSasaPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Walnut Creek•4.3

As a person who has lived in Italy, I will say that Walnut Creek has many fine Italian restaurants, but nothing as authentic as Montesacro. They serve Roman style Italian food, from Cacio e Pepe to Carbonara to the delicious Pinsa pizzas (Roman style square pizzas,). They've got a great wine list as well, and the service is always very friendly and attentive. I'm a fan!More infoMontesacro Walnut CreekPrice: Expensive• Italian• Walnut Creek•4.7
