She soon followed up with complimentary glasses of champagne for me and my guests! The food was more of a culinary experience and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had in Delaware. The cocktails are prepared by mixologists/bartenders that know what they’re doing. We ordered espresso martinis and lemon drops. It was an amazing experience!More infoBardea Food & DrinkPrice: Moderate• Italian• Wilmington•4.8

The dining room is inviting and unpretentious, but the food ranks right up there with some of the best spots in Philadelphia. I have never had a bad dish here - the menu rotates seasonally but there are some stand-out staples that remain, such as the duck leg confit. The servers are incredibly knowledgable and personable. While there are bigger-name, more publicized restaurants down the street, La Fia is a hidden gem where you can have a quality meal for a reasonable price.More infoLa FiaPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Wilmington•4.9

Our Autumn Salmon Salad was delicious with perfectly cooked salmon, roasted cauliflower and butternut squash, poached apples, pomegranate seeds and pepitas. Every bite had so many flavors! As a bonus, we dined during happy hour so our glasses of wine from the tap were so reasonable! Service was just right! We will dine again soon!More infoBack Burner RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Hockessin
